To accurately adjust a transmission characteristic by largely securing the stroke of a driving means, while keeping the interval of adjacent optical members small.
The optical apparatus 1 for observing a spectroscopic image includes: variable spectroscopic elements 16 having the first and second optical members 11a, 11b opposing at interval so as to change a spectroscopic characteristic by the change of correlative position of the optical members 11a, 11b; frame members 14 for fixing the first optical member 11a; a driving means arranged between the frame member 14 and the second optical member 11b so as to displace the second optical member 11b with respect to the frame members 14 in response to a driving signal to be input; and optical elements 10a, 10b for performing the deflection or dispersion of a light flux to transmit the variable spectroscopic elements 16, or a photoelectric conversion element 13 for performing photoelectric conversion. The frame members 14 support the optical elements 10a, 10b or the photoelectric conversion element 13.
