Abstract:
To provide a printing method capable of surely printing an optical code on a desired position (a flat part in a side circumference surface of a resin coated metal pipe) of an exterior surface of the resin coated metal pipe, a printer and the resin coated metal pipe on which the optical code is printed by the printing method or the printer.SOLUTION: A printing method includes: transportation means for transporting a resin coated metal pipe to a printing position; direction control means for aligning a flat part on a side circumference surface of the resin coated metal pipe transported to the printing position by the transportation means; and printing means for printing the optical code on the flat part, in which the resin coated metal pipe is formed of a cylindrical pipe material, rows of projections are many formed intermittently along a longitudinal direction of the side circumference surface of the pipe material are provided with a plurality of rows juxtaposed, and the direction control means aligns the surface flat part between the rows of adjacent projections in a predetermined direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
