Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication module that facilitates compensation of variance in the quantity of light entering or exiting from the end of an optical fiber and that is small in size and manufacturable at low cost.
SOLUTION: The optical communication module 2a is equipped with an optical coupler for coupling light between light emitting part 3 and/or receiving part and the end of an optical fiber 5. This optical coupler is provided with a semifixed optical attenuation member 50 in which light transmittance is variably set.
