To provide a new optical compensation sheet, a liquid crystal display device using the same, and a manufacturing method of the optical compensation sheet.
The optical compensation sheet comprises at least a supporting body and an optical anisotropic layer prepared on the supporting body, and is characterized in that the optical anisotropic layer consists of at least two different kinds of compounds selected from the compounds expressed by the following general formula (I), and liquid crystalline compounds. The general formula (I) is (Rf-X-)mAr(-W)n , and in the formula (I); Ar represents an aromatic heterocycle or an aromatic hydrocarbon ring; X represents a single bond or bivalent linking group; Rf is an alkyl group partly or totally replaced by fluorine atoms; W represents a sulfo group or a carboxyl group; m expresses 1 to 4; and n expresses 1 or 2.
