To provide an optical connector ferrule capable of fulfilling both conditions, namely, an adhesive strength between a ferrule main body and an optical fiber, and an axis alignment face of optical fibers.
The ferrule is provided with a center hole 3 which is formed passing through the axial center of the ferrule body 1 made of plastic or the like and through which an optical fiber 2 is inserted and fixed; and at the tip end of the ferrule body 1, a fine hole area 3a which has the minimum clearance for the optical fiber 2 and which has a length in the axial direction satisfying the outgoing angle condition of the optical axis; and to the rear side of the fine hole area 3a, a large diameter hole area 3b which has a large clearance for the optical fiber 2 so that the adhesive strength with the optical fiber 2 may be obtained.
