This invention is an optical connector inserting/pulling-out tool 1A which has a movable housing 11 installed movably in a manner slidable relative to the connector body 15 and which is used for an operation of inserting and pulling out an optical connector 10. The tool is provided with a case 2 for housing and holding the optical connector 10, and an operating member 7 extended from the case 2. The tool 1A is characterized in that the optical connector 10 can be inserted into the housing and connected, with the optical connector 10 housed in the case 2, and that, by pulling the operating member 7 with the optical connector 10 connected to the housing, the movable housing 11 is moved slidingly relative to the connector body 15, enabling the optical connector 10 to be pulled out from the housing.
