Title:
OPTICAL CONNECTOR WITH LINE NUMBER IDENTIFYING FUNCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3234689
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the optical connector with a line number identifying function capable of preventing the degradation in connection loss arising from axis misalignment and angle deviation and easily averting complicating, messing, delaying, etc., of operations.
CONSTITUTION: This optical connector has a first ferrule 15 which insulates the space of guide pin holes 16 inserted onto guide pins 6 from each other, a second ferrule 18 which is coupled to the first ferrule 15 in an opposed state, and insulates the space of guide pin holes 21 inserted onto the guide pins 6, a leaf spring 23 which engages with the engaging grooves 6a of the guide pins 6 projecting form the second ferrule 18 and maintains the coupling state of the first ferrule 15 and the second ferrule 18 and a chip resistor which is built in the second ferrule 18 and electrically conducts plural output terminals respectively to the leaf spring 23. Electricity is supplied to the guide pins 6 and the resistance value intrinsic to the chip resistor is outputted. The connecting state of the first optical fiber 1 and the second optical fiber 4 is identified from the resistance value.
