Abstract:
PURPOSE:To increase the deflection angle of luminous flux projected from an optical deflecting element. CONSTITUTION:The optical deflecting element 1 is provided with an acoustooptic medium 2 and an exciting means 3 which gives an angle theta of deflection to luminous flux passing through the acoustooptic medium 2; and the luminous flux projection surface C of the acoustooptic medium is provided slantingly to the travel direction of the luminous flux passing through the acoustooptic medium 2 and the deflection angle width of the luminous flux 82 projected from the projection surface C can be increased by this tilt angle.
