Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a recording film of a recording type optical disk when a first region such as a BCA(burst cutting area) is formed.
SOLUTION: The optical disk includes a first region having a region formed in stripes in the circumference direction where signals with decreased light quantity of reflected light are discontinuously obtained, and a second region where the user can record the user data by irradiating the second region with light beams. The first region is formed as separated at a specified radial distance from the second region. The disk has a read-in region formed inside of the second region, and the read-in region includes at least a part of the first region. The second region is preferably a rewritable region or a region where information can be additionally written.
