Abstract:
To provide an optical disk which can be easily and safely disposed, and to provide its scrapping method.
The optical disk 10 provided with a substrate 12 made of a transparent plastics formed by using a polylactic acid as a raw material is heated to its heat distortion temperature. The substrate 12 are softened and pits 22 formed on a signal recording surface 20 of the substrate 12 are made to disappear. Thereby, data recorded on the optical disk 10 can not be read and the data are not carelessly read even if the optical disk 10 is scrapped.
