Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an optical disk substrate which is highly resistant to heat and moisture absorption and has a low double refractive index by injecting and curing a reactive liquid for molding a synthetic resin by a reaction injection molding system thereby forming the optical disk substrate.
CONSTITUTION: The disk substrate is formed by injecting and curing the reactive liquid for molding the synthetic resin by the reaction injection molding (RIM) system. The reactive liquid is a reactive liquid to yield a resin-like polymer molding having ≥70°C glass transition temp. by molding of the RIM system. The reactive liquid used in urethane RIM, epoxy RIM, polyester RIM, DCPD RIM, etc., is used as a more preferable example.
