Abstract:
PURPOSE:To allow high-speed response by using the film of a composite material which is formed by mixing a chief material with a material mixture composed of liquid crystal materials mixed with a hardener and in which the liquid crystal materials coexist at >=50% in the state of being connected with each other in the high-polymer materials. CONSTITUTION:The composite material 6 is formed as the film which is formed by mixing the chief material with the material mixture composed of the liquid crystal materials 8 mixed with the hardener and in which the liquid crystal materials 8 coexist at >=50% in the state of being connected with each other in the high-polymer materials 7. Namely, the liquid crystal materials 8 coexist at >=50% in the state of being connected with each other in the high-polymer materials 7 and, therefore, the composite material 6 can array the liquid crystal materials 8 with a low voltage of about 10v as the voltage to be impressed to transparent electrodes 3, 4 facing each other. The fast response speed is obtd. in this way and the need for using polarizing plates is eliminated. The bright display is thus obtd.
