The optical equipment on which a focusing lens 18, a focusing motor 17 for moving the lens 18, an automatic driving means automatically moving the lens 18 by driving the motor 17 and a manual driving means manually moving the lens 18 are mounted is provided with an operation member actuating the manual driving means, an operation detection means 13 detecting that the operation member is in an operated state, a switching means shifting the mode from a mode in which the lens 18 is automatically moved to a mode in which the lens 18 is manually moved at the time of detecting that the operation member is operated, and a changing means changing judgement reference for judging whether or not the operation member is in the operated state.
