The optical fiber array includes: a substrate 2; a first V groove 3 formed on the substrate 2; a second V groove 4 formed on the substrate 2 at a position opposite to the first V groove 3; a groove section 5 formed on the substrate 2; an optical fiber 6 placed on the first V groove 3; a first flat substrate 8 to bond the substrate 2 and the optical fiber 6 via a first adhesive 7; and a second flat substrate 10 placed on the second V groove 4 and bonded to the substrate 2 via a second adhesive 9.
