To provide an optical fiber cable reduced in diameter and weight by improving the structure of a tension member in a slotless type optical fiber cable, and improving work efficiency, and routing property of cable when removing a housing.
The optical fiber cable includes: a coated optical fiber; a buffer layer formed at the periphery of the coated optical fiber; the housing formed at the periphery of the buffer layer; and a tension member arranged in the housing. The tension member includes a plurality of first tension members formed of a monofilament and a plurality of second tension members formed of multi-filaments or fiber reinforced plastic (FRP), and the respective tension members are equally disposed at the periphery of the buffer layer.
