Abstract:

To provide an optical fiber connection switching device and a picking-out method capable of taking-out a designated optical fiber from among optical fibers of wiring in operation in a closely aligned state.

The optical fiber connection switching device 1 comprises an alignment board, a connection board, a hand mechanism 3, and a movement mechanism. The hand mechanism 3 comprises a finger 81 which clamps the designated optical fiber B1 and takes out the same, a picking-out arm 95 for screening the optical fiber B1, a motor M5 for the arm for rotating the picking-out arm 95, a slide base 94 which mounts the finger 81, the picking-out arm 95, etc. and is movable in the vertical direction, a lever 78 which elevates and saves the slide base 94, a Z-axis slide unit 77 disposed movably in the vertical direction and a Z-axis motor M3 for moving the Z-axis slide unit 77 in the vertical direction.
