Abstract:
To suppress increase in the Young's modulus of a primary layer to additional ultraviolet irradiation in a ribbon formation step.SOLUTION: An optical ribbon includes: an optical fiber bare wire; a plurality of optical fiber colored core wires including a primary layer formed of a primary layer material covering the optical fiber bare wire and a secondary layer formed of a secondary layer material covering the primary layer; and an adhesive layer formed of an adhesive layer material covering the plurality of optical fiber colored core wires and connecting the plurality of optical fiber colored core wires. The Young's modulus of the primary layer is lower than the maximum Young's modulus after curing the primary layer material; and at least a part of a first wavelength range of ultraviolet absorbed by the adhesive layer material overlaps a second wavelength range of ultraviolet absorbed by a photoinitiator added to the primary layer material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
