Title:
OPTICAL FIBER SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3789739
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the technological development which enables efficient detection of a fine deformation of various constructions such as concrete construction in particular.
SOLUTION: In the optical fiber sensor herein provided, an optical fiber fixing jig 40 in which a pair of jig bodies 41, each with a plurality of grip protrusions for securely gripping arranged along an optical fiber housing hole 50, is integrated to securely insert an optical fiber 2 housed in the optical fiber housing hole 50 is installed at a plurality of points of a construction and the optical fiber 2 is spread between the optical fiber fixing jigs 40. It is more desirable to apply a length-wise elongation distortion as initial distortion to the optical fiber 2 spread between the optical fiber fixing jigs 40.
