Abstract:

To provide a separation and regrouping device for a conductive member such as an optical fiber.

The device is provided with a housing and plural conductive members such as the optical fiber which extends through the interior region of the housing. The housing surrounds encapsulation discontinuities formed on the conductive members, is also provided with a guide channel which channels the optical fiber through the interior region of the housing and also additionally rotates the optical fibers so that they extends through the housing. The device is provided with a strain relief member which house the optical fibers and surrounds the encapsulation discontinuities and potting chambers in which the optical fibers are potted into the housing. In a method for composing the conductive member, plural conductive members which are arrayed into a first group are prepared, the first group is separated into individual conductive members, and the individual conductive members are re-arrayed into a second group.
