PURPOSE: To provide the optical fiber switching device which is used for a place where operation for fiber switching, etc., of plural coated optical fibers at a time is performed when the optical fibers are coupled to constitute a fiber network, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The optical fiber switching devices which switches optical coupling by driving opposite slide terminals 11 and 21 by the driving of a driving wire has plural optical fibers 13 arranged at one slide terminal 11 and plural capillaries 21, where optical fibers 23 are are fixed inside, arranged at the other slide terminal 21; and one opposite slide terminal 11 is pushed out forward to insert the optical fibers 13 into the opposite capillaries 24, and the end surfaces of the optical fibers 13 and 23 are made to abut on each other, thereby optically coupling the optical fibers at a time.
