Title:
OPTICAL FIBER WAVELENGTH MULTIPLEXING TRANSMISSION SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2005012448
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an optical fiber wavelength multiplexing transmission system capable of eliminating the need for individual wavelength control and easily realizing a highly accurate frequency control for a local oscillation light in coherent detection (homodyne or heterodyne detection).

The optical fiber wavelength multiplexing transmission system is configured such that a first transmission apparatus generates a plurality of lights for uplink signals and a locking light, shifts the wavelength of the locking light toward one side by Δλ, and a second transmission apparatus applies heterodyne detection to the locking light transmitted from the first transmission apparatus by using the local oscillation light, generates a plurality of lights including the local oscillation light, totally changes the wavelengths of a plurality of the lights including the local oscillation light while keeping a frequency interval constant and controls the local oscillation light so that the heterodyne detection detects the Δf corresponding to the Δλ in the heterodyne detection.
