Abstract:

To provide an optical film which contains an acrylic resin and a cellulose ester resin and is improved in adhesion to a polarizer.

A forming method of an optical film 5 includes a casting process for casting a resin solution 2 on a support 101a, a peeling process for peeling a web 3 formed on the support 101a from the support 101a, and a stretching process for stretching the peeled web 3. As the resin of the resin solution 2, an acrylic resin and a cellulose ester resin are contained. As the stretching process, a first stretching process and a second stretching process which is carried out after the first stretching process are included. When the total of the draw ratio in the longitudinal direction and the draw ratio in the width direction of the web 3 in the first stretching process is A, and the total of the draw ratio in the longitudinal direction and the draw ratio in the width direction of the web 3 in the second stretching process is B, A≤B.
