Abstract:
To provide an optical film for minimizing light leakage and the change of colors due to a viewing angle generated in an image display.
In the optical film 10 having a polarizer 1b and three retardation films 2a-2c laminated on it, an absorption axis of the polarizer 1b and each slow axis of the three retardation films 2a-2c are orthogonal or parallel, and slow axes of the three retardation films 2a-2c are in parallel. The total of respective Nz values of the three retardation films 2a-2c is substantially 0.5×i (i: the number of the retardation films), and respective in-plane retardation Re1=(nx1-ny1)×d1 of the three retardation films 2a-2c are 200-350 nm.
