Abstract:

To provide a method for molding a thermoplastic resin by a melting method by which foreign matter contamination can be suppressed without using a filter of high filtration accuracy and without reducing productivity.

This method for producing an optical film is characterized in that at least one kind of thermoplastic resins is subjected to a process for mixing/pulverizing the resin to average particle size of 50 μm or below and then is subjected to melting extrusion molding while maintaining the resin at a temperature of its glass transition point Tg-50°C or below.
