To obtain an optical filter for a PDP which does not suffer from yellowing even when an adhesive containing an ultraviolet absorbent is laminated in contact with a copper mesh.

The optical filter for plasma display are provided with a transparent base 3, a copper mesh 4, and a mesh adhesive layer 5 laminated in this order. The mesh adhesive layer 5 is laminated directly in contact with the copper mesh 4, and contains one or more kinds of dyes selected from a group consisting of color tone correcting dyes and near-infrared absorbing dyes, an ultraviolet absorbent and an adhesive. The ultraviolet absorbent is composed of a triazine compound.
