Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical glass having a high partial dispersion ratio (θg, F) and a high visible light transmittance while having a high refractive index (n) and a low Abbe number (ν), and a lens preform and an optical element using the optical glass.SOLUTION: The optical glass comprises, by mol% with respect to the total mass of the glass having a composition expressed in terms of oxides, 10.0-50.0% of PO, 5.0-45.0% of NbO, 0-40.0% of TiO, with the sum of contents of NbOand TiOranging from 20.0-60.0%, and contains, by an outer percentage, 1.0-90.0% of F. The sum of contents of RO (where R represents one or more elements selected from the group consisting of Li, Na and K) is 30.0% (mol%) or less with respect to the total mass of the glass having a composition expressed in terms of oxides.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
