Abstract:
To provide optical glass having high visible light transmittance while having a lower Abbe number (νd) in optical glass having a high refractive index (nd), and to provide a preform and optical element using the same.
An optical glass contains, in mass%, 50.0-90.0% of Bi2O3 components and 5.0-50.0% of B2O3 components, and the wavelength (λ70) at which spectral transmittance shows 70% is 500 nm or shorter. A preform and an optical element comprise the optical glass.
