Abstract:
To obtain an optical head device capable of removing minute dust stuck to the surface of a recording medium, in a high-density optical memory using a near field light.
This optical head device emits a near field light from a head 5 attached to a floating slider 2 supported with a cantilever 3 to record/read information on a recording medium 1. In this case, a nozzle 11 which is set in the front in the relative moving direction a' of the head 5 and which blows off air to the surface of the recording medium 1 is arranged, so that dust stuck to the recording medium 1 is removed by the air flow y from the nozzle 11.
