To provide an optical head which realizes an optical head device or an optical information processor which is small-sized and has high reliability though using plural light sources to handle different kinds of optical disks like CD, CD-R, and DVD with respect to recording and reproducing of optical disks.
Divergent light emitted from a light emitting and receiving unit having a two-wavelength light source is made incident on a prism 7 having a face on which the optical axis is made incident approximately perpendicularly, and CD light is reflected by a first face of a light-transmissive plane plate 9 joined with this prism, and DVD light is transmitted through the first face and is reflected b a second face, and optical axis of these light are made coincide with each other. These light are emitted from the prism 7 so that optical axes may be perpendicular, and then, two wavelengths are combined, thus constituting a two-wavelength head.
