Abstract:
To provide: an optical instrument capable of modulating two or more phases of fluorescence with a simple structure; a phase plate; and a method for forming an image.SOLUTION: An optical instrument 10 comprises: a common phase modulation mask 50 providing phase modulation to first wavelength light and second wavelength light; an irradiation optical system 30 for irradiating the phase modulation mask 50 with the first wavelength light and the second wavelength light; and a condensing optical system 60 for condensing the first wavelength light and second wavelength light phase-modulated by the phase modulation mask 50 to form an image corresponding to a point spread function. The phase modulation mask 50 is a phase plate having a thickness between the thickness of a phase plate for the first wavelength light and the thickness of a phase plate for the second wavelength light.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
