Abstract:
To provide an optical lens which features a wide view angle at the wide-angle end, is compact, and offers superior optical performance with good correction for chromatic aberration over a wide wavelength range from the visible region to the infrared region, and to provide an image capturing device having the same.SOLUTION: An optical system is provided, consisting of a front group with negative refractive power, an aperture stop, and a rear group with positive refractive power arranged in order from an object side to an image side, where each of the front group and the rear group has one or more positive lenses. Each of the front group with negative refractive power and the rear group with positive refractive power has one or more positive lenses. A refractive index, Abbe number, and partial dispersion ratios, for the C-ray and t-ray, of a material of the one or more positive lenses belonging to the front group and the rear group are each set appropriately.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
