To provide an optical light chopper having both desired optical light chopping and filter functions and capable of being satisfactorily incorporated to an infrared gas analyzer etc.
An infrared transmitting part and an infrared shielding part 5 are formed in an infrared transmitting substrate 2. A filter part 4 for transmitting infrared rays of a specific wave region is formed in the infrared transmitting part of the substrate 2.
