Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical low-pass filter which is small in thickness and with which a good low-pass effect may be effectively obtained and good optical performance may be easily obtained and an optical apparatus using the same.
SOLUTION: This low-pass filter is formed by combining and joining plural double refractive plates of lithium niobate single crystals in such a manner that the optical axes of the plural double refractive plates face the directions varying from each other and constituting these plates to a parallel flat plate form.
