Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an optical measuring cell which can be assembled/ disassembled simply so that the optical measurement of a high viscosity liquid can be carried out efficiently and bubbles can be removed in a short time.
CONSTITUTION: The optical measurement cell comprises lower and upper cells 1, 2 being fitted into one cell. The lower cell has a partition wall 7 projecting from the surface of the lower cell being fitted to the upper cell in order to define a region 5 to be filled with a viscous liquid sample at a predetermined depth around a window plate 6. A flat reference surface 25 is included in the surface of the upper cell being fitted to the lower cell in order to slide the upper cell in a predetermined direction along the end face of the partition wall. A sample filling region 26 is also provided, while being recessed slightly from the reference surface, at a position facing the sample filling region of the lower cell around a window plate 27. A deeper region 28 for receiving the overflowed sample is provided in front of the sample filling region 26 in the sliding direction contiguously thereto. An edge 29 is formed at the border of two regions 26, 28.
