To reduce the measurement difference of a blood sugar level in an optical measuring instrument when the blood sugar level is measured by irradiating a part to be measured with laser light through the use of the optical measuring instrument.
An abutment part onto the part 25 to be measured in the optical measuring instrument 100 has a double structure composed of a first pressure part 3 and a second pressure part 30. The second pressure part 30 is connected to an external case body 8 with the use of an elastic body 32 and is elevatable with respect to the first pressure part 3 which is fixed to the external case body 8. A part of an optical measurement unit 1 such as a light emitting part 11 and a light receiving part 12 is stored in the second pressure part 30. The part 25 to be measured is pressurized with the two pressure parts 3, 30, so as to be in a tension state. Consequently, the part 25 to be measured is made to be a substantially horizontal surface and also a substantially flat surface, which is appropriate for optical measurement.
