To provide a high density optical disc on which digital information is optically recorded in a plurality of reflective layers and also provide a method of mass-production of an optical disc.
Each thickness of a plurality of layers of an optical disc 10 changes between accelerating interference and decelerating interference of a monochromatic light. Digital data communication to detectors 26, 28 from an optical reflecting layer 24 is executed using intensity difference of reflected beams exposed to the accelerating and decelerating interference. An optical disc 10 provides a multiple layer of digital information and this multiple layer is tuned to the interference response in corresponding different monochromatic light wavelength. Or, a layer which emits or absorbs the light depending on the dopant may also be included.
