Abstract:
To provide an optical neural network learning device capable of processing weight learning at a high speed without photoelectric conversion.SOLUTION: The optical neural network learning device comprises: an input unit 10 which, in a first learning step, generates n initial value weight pulse trains having amplitudes corresponding to initial values of a weight coefficient respectively and having a fixed repetition period and one teacher pulse corresponding to a teacher value from a coherent light source and, in second and following steps, generates only the teacher pulse; a multiplier 20 which branches optical pulses of the initial value weight pulse trains, multiplies the branched optical pulses of the initial value weight pulse trains by corresponding learning data in the first learning step, and multiplies the branched updated weight optical pulses by corresponding learning data in the second and following learning steps; an adder 30 which combines the teacher pulse of which the phase is inverted by 180 degrees relative to optical pulses combined after multiplication of the weight pulse trains by learning data, with the combined optical pulses to generate a cost value pulse; and a learning unit 40 which varies amplitudes of the updated weight optical pulses.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
