Abstract:
PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for optical path shaping on the feedback optical constitution path of an optical parallel arithmetic processing system by fixing the optical path selection position of a kernel and arranging a pixel mask which is programmable before each encoding stage. CONSTITUTION:A pixel mask 1-2 is put in charge of programming for arithmetic and a kernel 1-8 is a fixed mask. The pixel mask 1-2 which is programmable before each encoding stage is arranged and the fixed body is used for the kernel 1-8. Consequently, an output point is predetermined (normally one position in one pixel), an output is natural, and the optical path shaping on the feedback optical path constitution path is not necessary or is greatly facilitated. Further, other optical components required for this constitution are nearly the same as that of conventional technique.
