PURPOSE: To make it possible to obtain a material satisfying both of high elasticity and vibration damping property which are contradicting characteristics and to obtain a lens holder of an optical pickup capable of dealing with a trend toward higher speeds.

CONSTITUTION: This lens holder 1 holds an objective lens 2 for focusing a laser beam to an optical disk surface. At least this lens holder 1 is composed of a material mixture composed of a PPS(polyphenylene sulfide), a resin (for example, LCP, PTFE) having vibration absorbability and fillers (for example, carbon fibers, granular glass). The PPS to be used is alloyed with the resin having the vibration absorbability thereby, the vibration damping property as the whole of the material is enhanced. The amt. of the fillers to be packed is adequately adjusted according thereto, thereby, both of the high elasticity and the vibration damping property are improved.
