Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an optical pickup having high reliability by cutting down the number of components and improving assembling properties.
CONSTITUTION: The optical pickup is provided with a cover for covering an actuator 33 for operating a lens 16, power supply unit retaining means 62 for retaining a power supply unit 30 for supplying power to the actuator, and setting means 64 for preventing clatters upon setting to a chassis 20. The means 62 and the means 64 are formed integrally with the cover.
