Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical plastic film using a polymer which contains, as a monomer, β-phellandrene obtainable from microorganisms, plants, etc. as a carbon neutral material and a polarization film, a surface protective film, a retardation film, an antireflection film, a diffusion film, a transparent conductive film, a substrate film for image display devices, a brightness improving film and an image display device using the optical plastic film.SOLUTION: An optical plastic film contains 50-100 mass%, relative to the total mass of the film, of β-phellandrene polymer of a glass transition temperature of 80°C or higher and a specific gravity of equal to or higher than 0.85 and lower than 1.0.
