Abstract:
PURPOSE:To constitute a pressure sensor of an optical fiber and a rod lens alone by a method wherein the wavelength of a signal light is made to be that of a light generated by a glass into which neodymium is doped, and the changed of the quantity of the signal light is condensed in the optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber 13 is bonded to the center of a rod lens 14. A pressure detecting driving part 12 is fixed to a structure 15 with a slight distance from the rod lens 14. A glass plate 11 having almost the same area as an end face of the rod lens 14 is fixed to the pressure detecting driving part 12. Neodymium is doped into the glass plate 11. The wavelengths of an incident light and a signal light are changed by the glass plate 11, and the quantity of the signal light condensed to the optical fiber 13 is changed by the movement of the pressure detecting driving part 12, whereby the wavelength of the light entering through the optical fiber 13 is changed and the light is condensed in the optical fiber 13.
