Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical receptacle in which an optical element is arranged in a fixed position in a receptacle type optical connector having two- piece structure.
SOLUTION: An optical connector 30, wherein an elastic engaging piece 64 for lock engaging with a counter connector is provided while directing to the direction of a fitting end 53 and the elastic engaging piece 64 is lock engaged with the counter connector inserted from the fitting end 53, is composed of an outer housing 50 having the elastic engaging piece 64 and an inner housing 80 in which an optical element receiving cavity 87 is formed. The inner housing 80 is fitted into the combined cavity opened at one end of the outer housing 50, relative positions of the outer housing 50 and the inner housing 80 are controlled by mutually orthogonal three directions, and the optical element receiving cavity 87 of the inner housing 80 is arranged in a fixed position within the outer housing 50.
