Title:
OPTICAL RECORDING MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5621890
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide large-capacity optical recording material best suited to high density read only memory by forming transparent protective layer of organic film on the light receiving surface of recording metallic film to prevent oxidization of metallic film.

CONSTITUTION: Part of recording film (Bi, Se, Te, etc. with film thickness of 200W300 are desirable) formed on the base plate (glass, plastic, etc.) is evaporated through radiation of laser beam (beam less than 1μm is desirable) and recording is made depending on the existence of, or lack of, film. In such optical recording material, light receiving surface is provided with protective layer of transparent organic film (preferably, application and hardening of organic resin such as transparent epoxy resin and transparent silicone resin or heat pressed adhesion of organic sheet such as acrylic dry film).

EFFECT: Presence or lack of bits is clearly discernible due to prevention of disappearance of metallic color by oxidization of metallic film.
