PURPOSE: To provide an optical recording medium with high massproductivity in which thermal design is improved and high density recording is possible, and to obtain a production method of an optical recording medium by which the optical recording medium having these advantages can be efficiently obtd.
CONSTITUTION: After a dry photosetting film 2 in an unhardened state is formed on a light-transmitting substrate 1, a projecting part 4 having enough height for thermal insulation or a recessed part 5 having enough depth is press formed in this dry photosetting film 2 by using a silicon stamper at room temp. Then the unhardened dry photosetting film 2 is irradiated with UV rays to harden the dry photosetting film 2. Then a recording layer 3 is formed on the top of each projecting part 4 or the bottom of each recessed part 5. Thus, the obtd. optical recording medium realizes thermal insulation among each unit information region.
