Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain an optical recording medium with an adhesive layer excellent in adhesive strength, water-proofness and moisture resistance and a substrate layer excellent in dimensional stability even in high-temperature and high-humidity circumstances, by making a substrate for optical disc made from a specified ethylene/cyclic orefin copolymer and a set item of specified composition to be an adhesive layer. CONSTITUTION:An optical recording medium is composed of a substrate for optical disk made from the ethylene/cyclic orefin copolymer composed of the polymerization unit expressed by formula 1 and that expressed by formula 2, and as an adhesive layer a set item of the composition comprising a compound selected from the group of epoxy resin, sulfonium salt and cyclopentadiene iron compound, a compound selected from the group of acrylate, methacrylate and their oligomer, and a organic peroxide. As the ethylene/cyclic orefin copolymer, it is preferable to be composed of 10-60mol.% polymerization unit by formula 1 and 90-40mol.% by formula 2.
