PURPOSE: To attain ease of high density recording and high speed recording/reproduction while an optical film is loaded in a cassette case by loading the optical film of tape form into the cassette case having openings and recording digitally a signal onto the film.

CONSTITUTION: The optical film F of tape form is loaded into the cassette case 1 having a film feeding opening 4, a write opening 5a and a read opening 5b. Information is written to the film F from the opening 5a by using a head 11 arranged with lots of dot lighting sections 12, 12... lighted selectively corresponding to the digital information in a direction crossing with the feeding direction. Furthermore, the optical film F is developed from the openings 4, 5a and 5b and the developed information is read from the opening 5b. The optical film F is recorded digitally and the film is handled easily in the state loaded in the cassette case 1.
