Abstract:
To provide a power supply technique to an optical repeater capable of omitting a feeder line in a cable, improving reliability of an optical submarine cable system, or increasing transmission capacity of the optical submarine cable system.SOLUTION: An optical repeater of an optical submarine cable system includes: a power unit for receiving power to be transmitted wirelessly; one or more light sources for emitting pump light by the power supplied from the power unit; and an amplification unit for amplifying signal light by the pump light.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
