Title:
OPTICAL SCANNER AND IMAGE FORMING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3673709
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the rays of the portion involved in ploygon mirror image formation, and to efficiently shield the reflected light generated on the surface involved in the image formation.
SOLUTION: A luminous flux 35 shown with hatched lines among the luminous flux made incident on a polygon mirror 32 by an incident optical system is made incident on an Fθ lens, is reflected by a cylindrical mirror not illustrated, forms a spot on the image plane, and is scaned by the rotation of the polygon mirror. Since the luminous flux made incident on the polygon mirror 33 is larger than the width of the polygon surface, there exists luminous flux reflected by the neighbor surface. In order to shield the luminous flux, a light shielding member 34 is disposed in a determined range between the fθ lens and the polygon mirror surface by which an unnecessary flare light beam is cut.
