Title:
OPTICAL SCANNER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3170074
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To eliminate moving mechanical parts so as to improve the reliability and reduce the weight by using an area array space optical modulator and a proper optical device which sends an image to a detector like an infrared detector or a photo detector.
CONSTITUTION: An image is observed through a lens 12 along a route 10A and a route 10B, and the image transmitted through the lens is made incident on a stationary stop mirror 14, and the image is transmitted through a lens 16 and goes to a space optical modulator 18. Light is made incident on the whole of the space optical modulator 18; but if an infrared area is handled especially, a film deformable mirror device(DMD) is ideal because of a diffraction effect. This film DMD normally has a CMOS address designating circuit provided with an electrode under a film in a substrate, and the film is scanned when the image is made incident on the film. A part of the image doesn't collide with the stop mirror 14 and passes a lens element 28 and is made incident on a detector 32 like an infrared detector or a photo detector through a lens 30.
